Fourth and Fifth graders meet Tuesday afternoons to read and discuss a great book. To add to the fun, puzzles, games and plays will be a part of the plan. A book will be provided for each participant. Registration required.

Teen Ambassador Program

CALLING ALL TEENS! The Library needs your help! We are looking for teens grades six through twelve to join TAP! The Teen Ambassador Program! This group meets on the first Wednesday of each month. We need you to serve as liaisons to other students, review and recommend materials for the YA collection, help develop new programming and more! Attendance in this group looks great on College and Job Applications. It even counts as volunteer hours! Grades 6 - 12

Google Drive 101

You will learn how to save files online using your Gmail login and see how to access Google's word processor so you can create documents on any computer/tablet and even your smart phone. Legal Services Day

On Legal Services Day members of the public will be able to talk with volunteers about civil legal matters including consumer law, wills/trusts/estates, debt collection, bankruptcy, employment law, tax issues, foreclosure, property, social security and unemployment. The Maine Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP) and the Bangor Public Library are partnering to host the inaugural Legal Services Day event. Legal Services Day will take place at the Bangor Public Library on November 16, 2017 from 2 pm to 6 pm. This class will look at comparison shopping between devices like smart phones, tablets, and laptops as well as comparing phone plans using Consumer Reports and other resources.
