Success in the field of lighthouse preservation is not realized by one moment in time, but rather by remaining passionately steadfast on a fascinating journey through time. Bob Trapani, Jr., Executive Director for the American Lighthouse Foundation, an organization responsible for the stewardship of 17 lighthouses throughout New England, will speak about the importance and significant challenges to preserving these coastal sentinels and what can be learned along the way. Bath Cemetery Tour: Famed Captains and Shipbuilders

Thursdays, September 7-October 26, meet at the museum and ride the trolley to one of Bath's oldest and largest cemeteries for a guided tour with The Lady in the Red Cloak. Learn about the fascinating history of Bath’s shipbuilding families and the adventurous lives of famous Bath sailors. We’ll also examine the intricate and affecting symbolism of these amazingly crafted memorials. Members $24; nonmembers $30; under age 12 $12




Film: Bounty & Her Captain

Marking the fifth anniversary of the sinking of the Bounty, join filmmaker Neil D. Novello as he presents his production, Bounty & Her Captain, described as “part testimonial, part shipbuilding, and part Hollywood ballyhoo.” His unique perspective combines exclusive interviews with Captain Robin Walbridge during Bounty’s restoration and maintenance work in Boothbay Harbor, and includes findings from the official U. S. Coast Guard & National Transportation Safety Board reports on events leading to the loss of Bounty on October 29, 2012. Members $5; nonmembers $7
