Youth Poetry Slam Hosted by Hear Here & Inside Out

Hear Here Poetry and Inside Out Youth Services is teaming up for a youth workshop open mic and slam event. Promoting our individual Indy Give campaigns! Workshop starts at 6p, Open Mic starts at 7p and the Slam starts at 7:30p. We hope to see and hear all voices from age 13-22!!

Hear, Here! Poetry Women of the World Poetry Slam Qualifier

The top female or genderqueer/non-binary identified participants from the 719 will compete in an open slam to earn their place as the Hear Here representative at the 2018 Women of the World Poetry Slam. Competitors will need to prepare four poems: a 1 minute, 2 minute, 3 minute, and a 4 minute. Poems may be under time, but a time penalty will be assessed for poems which are overtime. WOWps is a performance poetry tournament designed for individual competition, where poets will perform four poems of varying lengths during preliminary bouts.
