MUSA is a chamber ensemble dedicated to historically informed performances of Baroque and Classical repertoire, as well as new music for period instruments. From trio sonatas to orchestral works, MUSA has presented programs on numerous concert series across the Bay Area. The 2016-2017 season includes programs on Old First Concerts, Arts at St. Bede’s, Noontime Concerts at Old St. Mary’s Cathedral, and Wednesday Noon Concerts at Throckmorton Theatre. Tamalpais Brass sounds like the beautiful mountain in Marin that is our namesake: wondrous and enticing, elusive but calming, grounding and soaring. We are a brass quintet that pushes the limits of our abilities, and we like to bring our audiences along for the ride.
