DURRY (Of Marah in the Mainsail) Feat. Mariah Mercedes

DURRY is an accomplished singer/song writer with nearly a decade of experience in the music scene and countless shows under his belt. Front man and the creative force behind MPLS based Marah in the Mansail, an eclectic and high energy cult-rock band that's well established in the Midwest and beyond. In light of the growing popularity of Marah in the Mainsail, DURRY is a small and intimate look behind the curtain of the normally high octane sound. The music is simplistic and dynamic, with a story-structured, vintage inspired, passionate performance.

The music is moody and dynamic. A wild roller coaster of emotions as you go from dark to light and back again. All in a self contained, easy listening package. With loved original tunes like, "Lonely Boy" and "Golden Age", along with brand new twists on classic songs by artists like Johnny Cash, Nancy Sinatra, and Death Cab for Cutie.

DURRY's voice is unique, but controlled, often compared to Tom Waits or Marcus Mumford. Accompanied by a one-of-a-kind, vintage, jumbo hallow-body electric guitar. Or a well-worn acoustic from DURRY's childhood with a hole worn right through the wood. The sound is weathered and haunting, with moments of hope and light shinning through the tender moments as the narrative weaves intricate stories behind the music.

Mariah Mercedes is a Pop/R&B singer and songwriter from the Twin Cities. Her vocal croons are comparable to the likes of Norah Jones, Feist, and Emily King. Mercedes' tunes explore coming of age themes delivered with smooth grooves and a perpetual smirk. At 21, she is beginning to find her sound by combining traces of R&B and neo-soul with her singer-songwriter roots.
